The Dutch East Indiaman ship sank off the coast of Zeeland around 1735. The ship- was traveling from Holland to Batavia and carrying a cargo of gold and silver coinage for trading in the East. Steering along the treacherous sand banks of the Schelde, the ship never made it to open waters, she ultimately succumbed to the sand flats and sank. All lives on the ship were lost and until 1981 the ship remained lost in the sea.
